Participation Report of SFPE International Conference on Performance-Based Codes and Fire Safety Design methods
- Fire Safety Design of Parking Areas in Large Scale Underground Shopping Malls -

JAFPE’s members reported the case study which the Japanese team had presented in the International Conference on Performance-Based Codes and Fire Safety Design Methods hosted by SFPE in Poland, 2016
The theme we worked on is “Fire protection design of parking areas in large scale underground shopping malls”. We suggested a dynamic natural smoke ventilation system; make use of the slope of a double story parking area.
In addition to the case studies of our team, we also introduced the studies from other countries who presented in the international conference; the United States, New England, Poland, Sweden, and Hong Kong.
